God, Goals, & Money Newsletter/Pt 5 - Set “Systems Goals” (7 Questions Every Entrepreneur Needs to Answer)

Of the 7 questions that every business owner needs to ask themself before starting a new business or rebrand (real estate or not).We already talked about…

1. The 6 areas where you need to design your life
2. The 7 types of communicators
3. 3 areas of business
4. Identifying the problem you solve

And so today we are covering #5…

Set “Systems Goals” to “Achievements Goals” with a ratio of 4:1.

Oftentimes, people fail to achieve goals because they're trying to control something that's actually out of their control. For example, they will set a goal of
• To make 10k/mo in my business
• To buy 5 rentals
• To buy a Lamborghini

These are Achievements Goals. Goals that detail a desired achievement. These goals are great but you really can't control them. They are actually just byproducts of effective systems.

For instance, to make 10k per month in your business you need to have an effective system of generating leads and converting them. So for an Achievement Goal of…

“To make 10k/mo in my business” you want to set 4 Systems Goals. Those systems goals may sound like this:

• To cold call 50 leads per day every day
• To run 3 sales training classes per week
• To watch 5 sales training videos and execute 3 new sales tactics from the videos per week every week
• To post 3 creative editorial product videos per week

The trick to this is to always be analyzing the Systems Goals to make sure the systems are actually working when you do achieve them. Constantly achieve, analyze, tweak, and iterate the systems to make sure that the byproduct is getting you closer to your Achievement Goal.

Tomorrow I will share #6 of the 7 questions that every business owner needs to ask themself before starting a new business or rebrand (real estate or not).
