Get ready! What i'm about to say next will free a lot of you:
A lot of your marketing and sales struggles are because you can't sit comfortably in your marketing and sales skin because you're modeling or comparing yourself to someone who has a totally different communication style than you.
This is you if you’ve ever said the following:
• I'm a behind the scenes person
• I'm not a social media person
• I'm not good at public speaking
• I dont know what to post on social media
• I just gonna make an ebook
• Even though I barely get any engagement on my personal page, I need to start an IG for my real estate investing business (I dont have enough time to explain why this is a faulty plan. If enough of you reply, ill explain tomorrow along with #3)
• I don’t like [insert influencer name here that hasn't actually scammed anyone], If I need to be like them to sell my products online, then im not dong it. (this was me with ET the hiphop preacher. I respected him but I couldn't take the yelling. Once I understood this stuff about communication style then I respected him even more.)
The reality is that these statements are all based on limiting beliefs, all because you haven't discovered and embraced your communication style.
Y'all know I love coming up with my own frameworks…but this one is not mine. Its from author, Erwin McManus.
He articulates that the 7 communication styles are the following:
#1. THE MOTIVATOR
They never say anything negative. They don't challenge you but they always inspire you. They love to encourage and inspire and usually will not tell you what you’re doing wrong. Their dominant belief is that people need to realize that they matter.
#2. THE CHALLENGER
The person who thinks it's their job to wake you up, slap you around so you can finally find the courage to live the life you're created to live. (def ET)
#3. THE COMMANDER
The person who earns instantaneous authority. They don't ask you what to do, they tell you what to do. If someone tries to use it but doesn't have it, they come across like a dictator. (This is me)
#4. THE HEALER
the person whose frequency is always focused don fixing your brokenness. They believe that the only way to achieve your greatness is if you deal with your inner wounds.
#5. THE PROFESSOR
The person who believes that all change happens through knowledge.
$6. THE SEER
the visionary. This person allows you to see more of your vision. Their power is to help you erase the boundaries of your limitations. Their vision translated into for inner world (also me, im a combo of commander and seer.)
#7. THE MAVEN
They violate your view of reality. They don't think outside the box, they can even see the box. (this was Jesus, my opinion)
